Josephine
received her Bachelors Degree in Nutrition at
Cornell
University
and her Masters Degree in Nutrition at the
Pennsylvania
State
University
. She has been on the faculty at
the Department of Family Medicine, State University of New York at Stony, Brook
since 1992. Josephine is a Clinical
Assistant Professor in the
School
of
Medicine
at SUNY Stony Brook and Director of the Stony Brook Dietetic Internship
Program. She teaches in the
School
of
Medicine
and the
School
of
Health Technology
and Management. Josephine is active
in the nutrition profession, and has held the following positions: editor for
the Sports and Cardiovascular Nutritionists Newsletter,
The PULSE, chairperson on the Board of Directors for the Long
Island Dietetic Association, and media spokesperson for the American Dietetic
Association. She is widely published
in the lay and professional literature, and is author of Losing
Weight Permanently with the Bull’s-Eye Food Guide.
The American Dietetic Association named her Young Dietitian of the Year
in 1994.
